Muy Delicioso!!

Thursday night after a long afternoon of interviews (5 hours), Dave and I decided to use our birthday gift cards and go to Kincaid's for dinner. It was so spectacular...words can not even give justice to how good the food was. Dave summed it up pretty well when he tasted my meal and said, "That's the best fish I've ever tried in my life." We started the meal with glasses of wine (Riesling) and the hot king crab and artichoke dip (my all-time favorite artichoke dip, so we had to get it). Dave had the prime rib and I had asiago-crusted halibut with garlic mashed potatoes and veggie trio. Like Dave said, it was the best ever. Of course, our meal at Kincaid's would not be complete without dessert -- burnt creme (aka creme brule). That's another one of our favorites at Kincaid's.

This may sound like a shameless plug for Kincaid's, but it's not. It's rare that we get to go out for fancy dinners at places like Kincaid's and we always have great food there. Actually, that's misleading that I say it's rare I go to Kincaid's. I actually used to work in the office building where the Kincaid's in Bloomington is located, so I've been to plenty of lunches and happy hours there. But my office moved, so it was the first time all year I've been there. And it is indeed rare that we go there for dinner, so it's a real nice treat when we do.

Mmmmm...now my mouth is watering and I'm hungry!

  1. Yay! I'm so glad you guys had a nice dinner. Now I want some artichoke dip (even though it's only 8:30 in the morning. Is that weird??)
